My name is Bogusław, I am a pensioner. So far, I have spent time with my family, taking care of my beloved grandchildren and wife. The tragedy occurred last year. My wife was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, and three months later I was diagnosed with it acute myeloid leukemia. It was a big blow to our family. From one day to the next, life changed 180 degrees. Our world has collapsed.

Dear friends, I won't be able to help myself and my wife fight cancer on my own. I need your help, I want to overcome the disease to continue living. I want to help my wife in her fight against cancer, be close to my family and be a grandfather to my grandchildren.

Concerned about the bruises that did not want to disappear and new ones appeared, I went to my primary care doctor. It was August 2021, then I didn't suspect it could be something serious. With each subsequent blood test, the results got worse and worse…

In November 2021, it was stated acute myeloid leukemia with FLT3 mutation. For four months, with small breaks, I have been staying at the Institute of Hematology and Transfusion in Warsaw. I have had two rounds of aggressive chemotherapy, which unfortunately did not bring the desired results. Doctors are trying various treatments, but one of the few options left is drug Xospata (gilteritinib), it is indicated for refractory acute myeloid leukemia with FLT3 mutation.
Unfortunately, it is not refunded in Poland.

The monthly cost of treatment is approximately PLN 80,000. Doctors informed me of the need
6-month treatment. I hope to qualify for a bone marrow transplant. The bone marrow donor is already there and waiting for the right moment. It is my sister.

However, treatment with a dedicated drug must effectively destroy cancer cells in order for me to become a recipient. Otherwise, a bone marrow transplant cannot be performed. I will be grateful for any help, even symbolic, and for sharing this collection. I believe that I will overcome the disease, and thanks to you this will become possible
