My name is Małgorzata and for a year I have been struggling with a nightmare that I was not prepared for. A year ago, I began to notice disturbing symptoms indicating ascites. I was aware of the possible origins of my problems, but when on December 8, 2020, the doctor confirmed my suspicions about malignant serous ovarian tumor, I felt terrible fear and uncertainty because my sister died of cancer at a young age.

I have been taking chemotherapy since January this year, the effects of which are felt throughout my body. I struggle with a whole range of ailments that make it difficult for me to function on a daily basis. Problems related to the digestive and circulatory systems are particularly serious.

The weakening of the body affects susceptibility to other diseases. It is possible that this is how I contracted the coronavirus in October this year. In a sense, I feel that providence must have been watching over me - after 23 days in the hospital, I managed to recover. On the other hand, I couldn't take chemotherapy at that time. My opponent, awakened from sleep, attacked with double force.

After arduous months of undergoing chemotherapy, I began to put my hope in supportive treatment, which is not reimbursed. Unfortunately, with my limited budget, I am unable to meet these expenses. Currently, I incur costs related to constant commuting to Warsaw and the purchase of other drugs that inhibit the development of the disease.

Please, my dears, support me in this difficult fight. I hope that one day the day will come when I will be able to celebrate my victory over the disease with my family and fulfill my dream of visiting yet unvisited corners of Poland.
