Dream:

My name is Ewelina and I am 40 years old. Since September 2019, I have been suffering from malignant tumor of the right breast. I have undergone chemotherapy and radical mastectomy, along with removal of lymph nodes (axillary). Since May 2020, I have been undergoing hormone therapy, which is scheduled to last until 2030. The treatment resulted in many side effects, including: bone and joint pain, artificial menopause (at the age of 37), tetany, headaches and dizziness. I also struggle with depression, atopic dermatitis, hypothyroidism, a large thyroid tumor and a spinal hernia. I have to perform some tests privately, medicines are largely not reimbursed, and there are frequent long journeys to see doctors. This takes up most of our budget, considering that I have no source of income and we only live on my husband's modest salary. My health condition does not allow me to work and I am not entitled to a pension. I require help myself, which means that my husband also has limited earning potential (travel to doctors and tests, care for his daughter who is often sick).

I am the mother of 12-year-old Marta, who was 7 years old at the time of my illness. She and my husband give me the strength to fight this terrible disease. In order to be able to take care of me during my illness and my daughter, who is going through a lot, my husband had to give up his well-paid job that required availability and take up a job that was less paid but allowed him to stay at home more often. My only dream is to live a relatively normal life and function without pain and fear. I believe it is possible and I am asking for your support.
