My name is Balbina, I am 49 years old and I am a happy mother of Kamil and Juli. My family idyll in 2020 was disrupted by a diagnosis - it turned out that I was sick for malignant breast cancer with metastases to the liver and bones.
I went through 8 cycles of chemotherapy, combined with supportive treatments. Thanks to the measures taken, I managed to stabilize my health in June 2021. Subsequent tests confirmed the strengthening of the immune system, thanks to which I was able to stop using alternative treatments. At that moment, I really thought I had won – that I had beaten cancer.
However, life had a very unpleasant surprise for me. During a routine CT scan, I found out that the disease had not gone away, it had appeared new lymph node metastases. I was confronted with this news just a day before Christmas Eve. Everything I was so afraid of started all over again. I was scheduled to undergo chemotherapy from January 3. The disease does not give up, but I am sure that it will not be able to suppress my will to fight.
I have motivation, hope and energy to fight for my health, but even that is not enough in this fight. Currently, my hope is to return to supportive treatment, but my earnings do not allow me to do so. One visit to the clinic generates costs of approximately PLN 2,000. In addition, there are expenses related to constant commuting and accommodation. My belief in the effectiveness of this treatment is not unfounded, I know how much it helped me during my initial struggles with cancer.
In the face of such overwhelming costs, I am forced to ask for your support. I know I won't be able to cope without your help. This is the most difficult fight in my life, and the stakes are huge - I will be grateful if you decide to support me on my path to health.
