The Foundation was founded by three friends: Maja Surowicz, Marcin Jakubek, and Aleksandra Urbaszek, who have been involved in advocacy for cancer patients for years. Maja also served as president of the United Way Polska Foundation for six years, which she decided to merge with the Foundation to maximize its reach for cancer patients and their loved ones.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

The Foundation's mission is to reach as many people with diabetes (and their loved ones) in Poland as possible and provide them with comprehensive support, from the onset of the problem to its resolution. The Foundation's values are transparency, openness, a focus on others, professionalism, and commitment.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

The Foundation operates in three areas: Health (we support people with cancer and their loved ones), Education (we educate on cancer prevention), and Social Aid (we run sub-accounts and provide counseling for people with cancer and their loved ones).<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

The Foundation stands out:
\u2013 free financial support (we do not charge any fees or commissions for setting up and maintaining a sub-account);
\u2013 transparency of activities (100% of the money donated by individual donors is transferred to the Foundation\u2019s beneficiaries);
\u2013 individual approach to each client;
\u2013 comprehensiveness of activities (psychological support, consultations with a dietitian and lawyer, provision of in-kind donations, financial and other support, in accordance with the reported needs);

Anyone living with cancer can join the group of Supporters. Simply complete the online form on the subpage. I am in the middle of an illness<\/a>, and then send the necessary documents to the Foundation.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

After completing the online form, the patient will receive information about joining the group of Patients within 24 hours (Monday to Friday; up to 72 hours on weekends).<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

The Foundation finances its activities and administrative costs (such as employee salaries, office maintenance, etc.) from the support of donors for the statute, 1.51 TP3T transferred to the foundation (apart from all payments where the specific purpose is the Mentee), services dedicated to companies (such as preventive workshops, training webinars for HR departments on supporting sick people in the workplace or teambuilding events) and obtaining grants.
In 2018, she also founded the not-for-profit social enterprise Change4Good, whose entire income supports the foundation. Among other things, the company organizes events, implements the Nikifory social program, and operates the PomocSieLiczy.pl portal.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

One of the Foundation's values is the transparency of its operations, including the organization's use of funds. All reports are regularly published on the Foundation's website under the "Reports" tab.
