My husband Micha\u0142 is 40 years old\u2026 we have a 13-year-old daughter and our whole lives ahead of us.<\/strong> Today, every single day counts for him.<\/p>\n

Just two months ago, we were convinced we had an ordinary, happy life ahead of us. We had each other. We were healthy. We had plans, dreams, and everyday problems that seemed most important at the time.<\/p>\n

And suddenly, one day, one examination and one opinion from the doctor were enough for everything to change.<\/strong>. It seemed like an ordinary migraine. The kind we'd had before. This time, however, painkillers didn't help. We went to the hospital, convinced Micha\u0142 would get a painkiller injection and we'd go home. A CT scan revealed a massive brain tumor, approximately 6 x 7 cm. To this day, it's hard for us to believe the tumor had grown so large without any obvious symptoms. Everyone, including the doctors, was surprised.<\/p>\n

Micha\u0142 underwent a very difficult operation. Due to its extensive size, the tumor could not be completely removed. Although he recovered very quickly after the surgery, the diagnosis brought our world crashing down for a second time:\u00a0Glioblastoma multiforme grade IV<\/strong> \u2013 the most aggressive type of cancer we have ever faced.<\/p>\n

Micha\u0142 is currently undergoing intensive radiotherapy and chemotherapy, which will last approximately six weeks. He still has a long and extremely difficult road ahead of him. Unfortunately, we know the prognosis and statistics for this type of cancer \u2013 recurrence is only a matter of time.<\/strong><\/p>\n

But we're not going to give up. Micha\u0142 <\/span>I want to face it<\/strong>, and we we want to go through this with him.<\/strong><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n

We will seek treatment options wherever possible.<\/p>\n

Currently, the most promising treatment is TT Fields Optune (Tumor Treating Fields), a therapy that uses electric fields to inhibit glioma cell division. It's already reimbursed in many countries\u2014unfortunately, not in Poland. Its unsubsidized cost is enormous! It's approximately 120,000 PLN per month! Therapy should begin as soon as possible after completing radiotherapy and chemotherapy, which is approximately five weeks later, and, according to the treatment plan, last for at least two years.<\/p>\n

This means amounts that we cannot bear on our own.<\/strong><\/p>\n

That's why today, for the first time in my life we need to ask for help<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

You also need:<\/p>\n

\u2013 detailed molecular studies of the tumor, which can help select targeted treatment \u2013 cost approximately PLN 30,000,<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2013 consultations and treatment outside Poland, including special targeted vaccines prepared individually based on molecular examination of the tumor, which the cost is several hundred thousand zlotys!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2013 rehabilitation,<\/p>\n

\u2013 medications, tests and all the costs that will arise during this long journey.<\/p>\n
