At the end of March last year, I felt a very large lump near my stomach. I tried to calm down, but I knew it was a tumor. After an ultrasound, the doctor said there was a 6.5 cm inflammatory lesion. I didn't even think of it as cancer; I thought it was some kind of inflammation. I was confused, surprised, and didn't quite understand what was happening. My family doctor reassured me, but emphasized that further evaluation by an oncologist was necessary.<\/p>\n
The test results came back at the end of May and confirmed my worst fears \u2013 bile duct cancer and liver metastases. My world collapsed; I couldn't think, sleep, or eat. I couldn't believe what was happening. I was sure I'd wake up any minute and it would all be a terrible dream. I was told to wait for a call from the oncology coordinator to schedule an appointment. In the meantime, a medical consultation was held, where I was told that a transplant would be the best option.\u00a0<\/p>\n
I also consulted at the hospital in Gliwice and Radom. After ruling out metastases from the pancreas and breasts, I felt a little calmer, but I still didn't know what lay ahead. At the end of August 2025, I began my first chemotherapy treatment. Before chemotherapy, I started a proper diet and supplementation to strengthen my body, especially my immune system and intestines. I didn't feel bad during chemotherapy; I tolerated it well; I was afraid it would get worse. I think this is due to the actions I took and implemented before chemotherapy. However, I can't continue chemotherapy in Poland due to the extent of the cancerous lesions in my liver.<\/p>\n
I'm currently not receiving National Health Fund (NFZ) treatment. I'm seeking help on my own, contacting various doctors, still searching for a chance for treatment and the hope that will allow me to continue treatment and live. I found an oncology clinic abroad that has accepted my treatment. Currently, plans are underway to implement a new treatment protocol, which will include new metabolically assisted chemotherapy, hyperthermia, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and supportive infusions along with oral medications (supplements and medications for other uses), as well as a diet tailored to my health condition.<\/p>\n
The cost of treatment abroad, including 10 intensive treatment cycles, including plane tickets, meals and accommodation, is PLN 277,700, which is significantly beyond my and my family\u2019s financial capabilities.<\/p>\n
I have two wonderful children and a wonderful family for whom I would love to live. We are all very close, we can always count on each other. I dream of laughing again, of enjoying each new day, which I appreciate even more now. I have always traveled a lot and been physically active.
