It&#039;s an age of carefreeness, laughter, and first friendships. Unfortunately, his childhood was abruptly cut short by a cruel diagnosis.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">In March, Igna\u015b was diagnosed with<strong> malignant, inoperable brainstem tumor H3K27<\/strong>. The illness came on suddenly and without warning. In February, while still suffering from a common cold, he developed a high fever and a disturbing lack of urination, lasting up to 30 hours. Because of this, Igna\u015b was hospitalized twice.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Just before his second hospitalization, more symptoms began to appear. Igna\u015b complained of headaches more and more often, saying, &quot;Mom, I have a headache, I need to lie down.&quot; Day by day, they became more frequent. At preschool, he stopped being himself, <strong>he lost his balance<\/strong> while playing, he withdrew from contact with peers, and <strong>his vision began to fade, especially in his left eye<\/strong>. Until recently, he was a cheerful, energetic, and curious child; now he&#039;s struggling with an illness that&#039;s robbing him of his childhood.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">During his second hospitalization, a CT scan of his head revealed a tumor. Igna\u015b was immediately transported to the Children&#039;s Memorial Health Institute in Warsaw, where he underwent a detailed diagnostic procedure, including an MRI and a biopsy.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The result confirmed the worst-case scenario:\u00a0<strong>a malignant, infiltrating brainstem tumor that cannot be operated on.<\/strong><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The diagnosis hit us like a bolt from the blue. Fear, despair, and immense helplessness set in. Our world came to a standstill.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><strong>Currently, Igna\u015b is struggling with serious neurological complications.<\/strong>. The disease progresses, robbing Igna\u015b of his mobility and joy of life. Each day is a struggle for a smile, for strength, for more moments together.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">We are turning to you for help. We are facing <strong>radiotherapy, expensive travel related to treatment<\/strong>, <strong>rehabilitation<\/strong> and <strong>efforts to gain access to therapies that may give Igna\u015b a chance<\/strong>.
