Hi, my name is Micha\u0142. I'm 33 years old and happily married. I was incredibly lucky to meet my soulmate in high school. Since then, we've been a duo that continues to this day.<\/p>\n
I'm from Nowa Huta, and football has always been my passion. However, 2019 completely changed my life.<\/p>\n
It started innocently enough, with a loss of sensation in the fingertips of my right hand. On January 14, 2019, I underwent elective carpal tunnel surgery. The surgery lasted only 20 minutes and was technically successful, but the problem persisted. I was referred to a neurologist, who ordered an MRI of my head.<\/p>\n
On January 24th, I had the test done. That same day, I received a call asking for the results urgently. The diagnosis was devastating: a cystic tumor on the left hemisphere of the brain measuring 59 x 56 x 52 mm. In an instant, everything stopped.<\/p>\n
The next day I met with a neurosurgeon, and surgery was necessary. The biopsy showed glioma, diffuse astrocytoma, grade II malignancy.<\/strong> I thought then that despite everything, there are still treatment options and there is hope.<\/p>\n As recommended by my doctors, I began treatment with proton radiotherapy and PCV chemotherapy. I returned to work and exercise, and gradually regained my fitness. I took care of my diet, sleep, and overall health. For several years, everything went well.<\/p>\n Unfortunately, in April 2024, a follow-up MRI showed a recurrence, the tumor started growing again<\/strong>. The disease returned when I least expected it.<\/p>\n In March 2025 <\/strong>I was sent back to the same neurosurgeon and the same hospital. This time, I knew a difficult road lay ahead. My physical and mental health gradually deteriorated, with weakness in my right arm and leg, seizures, and anxiety and depression.<\/p>\n That's when I decided to have a second surgery. Afterward, I was unable to walk and confined to a wheelchair. The entire right side of my body was paralyzed.<\/strong>, heavy and alien.<\/p>\n Rehabilitation was the most difficult experience of my life, both physically and mentally. However, I found wonderful specialists and people who helped me regain my mobility. After two months of intensive work, I left the hospital, walking with a stick, but with a smile and hope.<\/p>\n I started chemotherapy in June<\/strong>. This time the tumor turned out to be more aggressive, the glioma progressed to stage III malignancy.<\/strong><\/p>\n Unfortunately, two months after the treatment was completed my health deteriorated rapidly.<\/strong> Everything I'd gained during rehabilitation was taken away from me in a matter of days. I was hospitalized again. This time, the tumor was inoperable.<\/p>\n I am currently undergoing another round of chemotherapy, which has stabilized my condition. Unfortunately, this treatment can only slow down the disease<\/strong>, does not give a chance for its complete recovery.<\/p>\n I don't want to give up. That's why I contacted a clinic in Germany that offers immunotherapy, a therapy that gives hope.<\/strong> Unfortunately, the costs of such treatment are very high.<\/p>\n I have no choice but to ask for help.<\/p>\n \u00a0Every donation or sharing of the fundraiser is of great importance to me.<\/p>\n Thank you from the bottom of my heart for every form of support.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" My life changed in 2019 when I was diagnosed with glioma.
