{"id":71848,"date":"2026-01-09T10:21:32","date_gmt":"2026-01-09T09:21:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fundacjarakiety.pl\/?post_type=beneficiaries&#038;p=71848"},"modified":"2026-06-28T09:20:57","modified_gmt":"2026-06-28T07:20:57","slug":"robert-owsianka","status":"publish","type":"beneficiaries","link":"https:\/\/fundacjarakiety.pl\/en\/podopieczni\/robert-owsianka\/","title":{"rendered":"I want to be with my grandchildren \u2013 I need support"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"135\" data-end=\"425\">In September 2024, during a check-up ultrasound examination, I was diagnosed with <strong>left kidney tumor<\/strong>.<br data-start=\"220\" data-end=\"223\">The diagnosis was confirmed by a computed tomography scan performed in October 2024.<br data-start=\"305\" data-end=\"308\">On January 2, 2025, the left kidney was removed and the pathological examination showed <strong>clear cell renal cell carcinoma<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"427\" data-end=\"669\">Due to the suspicion of metastatic changes, especially in the liver, I started in March\u00a0<strong>immunotherapy treatment<\/strong>. Unfortunately, <strong>the therapy did not stop the growth of the metastatic lesion<\/strong> and in October, after 10 cycles, <strong>treatment was discontinued<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"671\" data-end=\"819\">In November I was referred for radiotherapy for a tumor in the second segment of the liver, and in December I was given a dose of 4500 cGy in three fractions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"821\" data-end=\"1086\">At the end of last year, I decided to undergo a non-reimbursed therapy to support my immune system. The goal of the therapy is to strengthen my body to fight infections more effectively. <strong>metastatic cells that have nested in the liver<\/strong> and perhaps in other places.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"1088\" data-end=\"1284\">However, this therapy is very expensive, so I&#039;m reaching out for help. Every kind hand, a good heart, or a supportive conversation gives me hope that I will gain time and strength.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"1286\" data-end=\"1385\">The approximate cost of the non-reimbursed therapy I am currently undergoing is approximately <strong data-start=\"1368\" data-end=\"1382\">120,000 PLN<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"1387\" data-end=\"1520\">My biggest dream is to be able to watch her grow up <strong>my six grandchildren<\/strong>, enjoy family, friends and the beauty of nature.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I have kidney cancer that has metastasized to my liver.
