Fear, disbelief, and immense pain set in. Instead of holding my daughter, I had to begin treatment for one of the deadliest cancers. <strong>I underwent surgery to remove a tumor from the ampulla of Vater, followed by chemotherapy.<\/strong>Thanks to the doctors&#039; determination and overwhelming support, the disease was stopped. Unfortunately, <strong>A few months ago, the cancer returned \u2013 this time with metastases to the liver and peritoneum.<\/strong> I&#039;m currently under the care of a wonderful team of specialists at the Military Institute of Medicine in Warsaw and receiving chemotherapy. The therapy helps slow the progression of the disease, but it doesn&#039;t guarantee its complete halt. However, I&#039;m constantly searching for new options. I consult at centers across Poland\u2014the Oncology Center in Bydgoszcz and the National Institute of Oncology in Warsaw\u2014and I&#039;m looking for modern methods that might offer hope. A chance has arisen. <strong>Modern immunotherapy available in Germany offers a real possibility of stopping the disease and improving my health.<\/strong>However, this therapy is not reimbursed by the National Health Fund \u2013 the only way is to raise funds and begin treatment abroad. The costs are enormous: medications, a stay in a clinic, travel, a specialized diet, and private medical consultations are all included. <strong>hundreds of thousands of zlotys<\/strong> \u2013 amounts that are far beyond my means. Every day I try to be brave for my daughter, who asks why her mother can&#039;t play with her like other children. My biggest dream is simply to live a normal life \u2013 walks together, playing on the playground, family moments without fear of the future. I&#039;m asking for help. Every z\u0142oty brings me closer to being able to live \u2013 for myself, for my husband, and for our daughter.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#039;m a young mother who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer shortly after my daughter&#039;s birth.
