I am a paramedic by profession. For almost half of my life, working in the Emergency Department and the Hospital Emergency Department, I have fought for the health and lives of other people. Since childhood, I was taught to help others. Today, I am fighting a duel with a difficult opponent \u2013 <strong>glioblastoma<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I found out about the disease in February 2021. One evening I went to bed unaware that I would wake up in a completely different reality. During the night, I had an epileptic seizure with apnea. I was immediately admitted to the hospital in the Neurology Department. After tests, it turned out that I had a tumor in the right frontal lobe that needed to be removed. In March 2021, I underwent a tumor removal procedure. After a histopathological test<strong data-stringify-type=\"bold\">\u00a0I got a diagnosis that turned my life upside down \u2013 glioma of the brain<\/strong>. For the next 3 years all follow-up tests were good, with no recurrence.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Unfortunately, in March 2024 it turned out that <strong data-stringify-type=\"bold\">there was a relapse<\/strong>. The tumor has progressed to a more advanced, malignant form. A month later, I underwent another tumor removal surgery, which, despite minor complications, was successful. The next stage of treatment was to begin radiotherapy and chemotherapy, which I receive monthly. After the second procedure, a sample of my tumor was sent for genetic testing, which showed that the development of glioma is associated with the genetic mutation I have.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong data-stringify-type=\"bold\">The only chance to prolong my life is foreign therapy with a non-reimbursable drug<\/strong>.
