Our beloved son&#039;s severe back pain turned out to be a symptom of a serious illness - <strong>spinal cord tumor<\/strong>. After partial removal of the tumor and intensive rehabilitation, we regained hope that the worst was behind us. Unfortunately, just three weeks after the surgery, Ostap <strong>he lost the ability to walk and speak<\/strong>. Urgent tests revealed metastases \u2013 in the cerebellum and frontal lobe.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"736\" data-end=\"984\">For two years, Ostap was treated with chemotherapy at the University Children&#039;s Hospital in Krakow. A shunt was placed, which helped reduce the symptoms of hydrocephalus. The treatment seemed to be effective. However, in April 2024, the disease struck again. Attacks appeared: paresis of the arms and legs, aphasia, loss of contact with the environment. Initially, epileptic seizures were suspected, then a malfunction of the shunt. Final diagnosis: <strong>progression of changes in the brain<\/strong>. Ostap urgently needs a biopsy and implementation of second-line treatment according to a new protocol.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"1338\" data-end=\"1547\">The costs of specialist consultations, long hospital stays and searching for effective methods of therapy exceed our financial capabilities. Therefore, we ask with all our hearts \u2013 <strong data-start=\"1515\" data-end=\"1546\">help us save Ostap<\/strong>. Ostap is a brave warrior. He repeats that when he defeats his greatest enemy \u2013 cancer \u2013 he will become a soldier and will bravely fight for peace and prosperity of Ukraine and Poland.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"1719\" data-end=\"1875\">We believe that there are people with big hearts around us. Every zloty, good thought, prayer and sharing this story gives Ostap hope for the future.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"1877\" data-end=\"1916\"><strong data-start=\"1877\" data-end=\"1916\">Please help him win life!<\/strong><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ostap is a brave warrior.
