My name is Magdalena Rusin. My life, which until then had been full of joy, work and sacrifice for my loved ones, changed in an instant. On January 15 this year, I heard a diagnosis that shook my world:\u00a0grade IV glioma.<\/strong> This is terrible news that has cast a shadow over my future and turned my life upside down just before retirement.<\/p>\n

For years I devoted myself entirely to raising four children. In my professional work I was a medical caregiver in a social welfare home<\/strong>. Every day I accompanied people who needed support, care and warmth. I felt that my life had meaning when I could help others. Today, in the face of my own illness, I am the one who needs help.<\/p>\n

I am 56 years old. I have already undergone a difficult operation that allowed remove the tumor completely.<\/strong>\u00a0Then I started a six-week therapy: chemotherapy and radiation. My body is weakened, but I am not giving up. Another round of chemotherapy is ahead of me. I need supplements to regenerate. However, the greatest hope that significantly prolongs the life of people with a diagnosis like mine is modern\u00a0OPTUNE therapy.<\/strong>

This is a huge amount that poses a very difficult challenge for us. However, I do not lose hope because I know that the fight for life is something that cannot be given up.
Thanks to OPTUNE therapy, I could go back to work, become a full-fledged member of the family again. Above all, I could be with my children, who only have me. I dream of seeing their happiness when they start their own families, and maybe even live to see the moment when I welcome my grandson or granddaughter into the world. This is the greatest desire I have.<\/p>\n

After the diagnosis, I didn't break down. On the contrary, I decided to turn this difficult situation into something good, something that could help others. I started a YouTube channel called \u201cAlien in My Head,\u201d where I talk about my illness, how important self-observation is, and how you shouldn\u2019t ignore any disturbing symptoms.<\/strong>\u00a0My experience is meant to be a warning and an encouragement to take care of yourself and your health.
Now, facing the next step in this difficult situation, I turn to you with a request for help. Every z\u0142oty is a chance for me to get this expensive therapy and proof that I am not alone. Your support gives me great strength. Every help, regardless of the form, is a huge motivation for me to constantly strive for my goal.
