It was the moment when a completely new chapter in the history of our family began. Our youngest daughter Gabrysia was only one year old, the oldest Ja\u015b was six, and Sara was to celebrate her fourth birthday in a few months. It was <strong>a very difficult and exhausting year<\/strong> for our whole family \u2013 six-month intensive <strong>chemotherapy<\/strong>, <strong>operation<\/strong>, frequent\u00a0<strong>trips for consultations<\/strong> and <strong>treatments<\/strong> to Warsaw, Szczecin. It was also a time when we could strengthen our bonds, build a stronger family and experience the selfless help of many kind people. Therefore, despite the difficulties, we are extremely grateful for this year!<\/p>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: center;\">Thanks to systemic treatment, supporting my body in fighting the disease, and the great support of many people, I am currently in remission. At the same time, cancer will remain with us forever - somewhere in the back of my mind there will always be a question whether the disease will not return. During diagnostics, I was diagnosed with <strong>BRCA2 gene mutation.<\/strong> I am under constant medical care, but tests such as Maintrac, which are used in the West for cancer prevention, are not effective in Poland<strong> unfortunately they are not refundable<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: center;\">That is why I am asking for help to fully benefit from the discoveries of modern medicine in the fight against my disease.
