In early January our lives changed forever. My husband, Konrad, 51 years old<\/strong>, heard a diagnosis that no one would like to hear \u2013 glioma<\/strong>, one of the most aggressive brain tumors<\/strong>. Shock, fear, disbelief \u2013 these emotions accompany us every day.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, the tumor is inoperable<\/strong>, and its location also excludes radiotherapy. The only chance to prolong life is chemotherapy. Konrad started therapy with the standard drug Temozolomide, and thanks to a huge effort we managed to get him a modern drug \u2013 Avastin<\/strong>, which can slow down the progression of the disease and give us more time together.<\/p>\n

But there is one problem \u2013 the drug is not reimbursed in Poland<\/strong>The cost of one dose, given every three weeks, is approximately 1000 euro<\/strong>. Treatment must continue uninterrupted \u2013 for the rest of my life<\/strong>. Each subsequent dose is a chance for another day, another conversation, another moment with loved ones.<\/p>\n

Konrad is a man full of passion. He loves motorcycles and sailing.<\/strong> He dreams of getting back on his beloved motorbike and feeling the wind on his face. Every day spent with his family gives him the strength to fight, but this fight requires enormous resources.<\/p>\n

That's why we are asking for your support.<\/strong> Every payment, even the smallest, is a step towards the next dose of medicine, towards the hope for more time together.<\/p>\n
