My name is Mateusz, I am 32 years old and I have been struggling with a recurring osteochondral growth in my hip since 2019. In February 2024, doctors confirmed that the growth had turned into a malignant tumor.<\/strong> Given this diagnosis, I was facing another surgery, which took place at the end of April 2024.<\/p>\n

This operation was completely different from the previous ones \u2013 in order to beat the cancer, it was necessary to remove half of the pelvis, which also involved amputation of the leg<\/strong>. The decision was extremely difficult, but I had someone to fight for. My daughter was due in November 2024, and I didn't want to deprive her of the opportunity to grow up with both parents.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Thanks to the great support of my family, I managed to come to terms with the new reality. I try not to give up and every day I look for solutions that will allow me to function normally despite my disability. I know that buying a prosthesis will significantly improve my quality of life \u2013 I dream of being able to go for a walk with my daughter or take her to kindergarten, holding her hand, and not leaning on crutches.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Before my illness, I always tried to be independent \u2013 from home renovations to car repairs. Now, the lack of a leg makes it very difficult. A prosthesis would help me regain my former independence and enable me to perform everyday activities that once came naturally to me.<\/p>\n

I am asking for help in raising funds to buy a prosthesis. Thanks to it, I will be able to actively participate in the life of my family and be a full-fledged father to my daughter. Every support brings me closer to achieving this goal and gives me hope for a better future.<\/strong><\/p>\n
