My name is Barbara, I am 43 years old and I am a mother of two wonderful children. I have always been a cheerful, smiling person, ready to help anyone who needed it. However, life put me through a difficult test that changed everything.<\/strong><\/p>\n

On September 23, 2023, I heard a diagnosis that turned my world upside down \u2013 stomach cancer<\/strong>. I never thought that such a disease could affect me. At first, I was in great shock, but I knew that I have to take up the fight \u2013 not only for myself, but most of all for my family.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I started treatment with chemotherapy. I went through eight cycles, which were extremely difficult for me. I struggled with weakness, nausea and weight loss, but every day I found the strength to fight - because I knew that this was the only way to health. Then, on February 21, 2024, I underwent hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy combined with laparoscopy. This was a very demanding stage of treatment, but it was a key step forward. The next challenge was a total gastric resection, which was performed on March 11, 2024 to stop the progression of the disease.<\/p>\n

I am currently undergoing further treatment to prevent metastasis and supportive therapies to help me regain my strength. Unfortunately, the cost of treatment is huge \u2013 from 9 to 11 thousand zlotys per month. <\/strong>Regular trips to distant medical centers, expensive private visits, a specialized diet, and medications are a significant drain on my family's budget. Despite these difficulties, I know I have to continue treatment.<\/p>\n

What gives me the greatest strength is my loving family. My husband and our children are my most valuable support and the reason why I try to be strong every day. I dream of getting healthy and being able to watch my children grow up, enjoying every moment spent together. chcia\u0142abym poinformowa\u0107, \u017ce choroba niestety ponownie daje o sobie zna\u0107. Mimo trudnych rokowa\u0144 nie trac\u0119 nadziei i nadal z ca\u0142ych si\u0142 walcz\u0119 o powr\u00f3t do zdrowia oraz jak najlepsze funkcjonowanie na co dzie\u0144.

W ostatnim czasie przesz\u0142am operacj\u0119 usuni\u0119cia nowotworu, kt\u00f3ra by\u0142a dla mnie bardzo wa\u017cnym i wymagaj\u0105cym etapem leczenia. Wi\u0105za\u0142am z ni\u0105 du\u017c\u0105 nadziej\u0119 na popraw\u0119 sytuacji. Niestety ju\u017c po dw\u00f3ch tygodniach od zabiegu otrzyma\u0142am kolejn\u0105, bardzo trudn\u0105 i przyt\u0142aczaj\u0105c\u0105 diagnoz\u0119, poniewa\u017c wykryto przerzuty do ko\u015bci.

Obecnie jestem w trakcie radioterapii skierowanej na zmiany kostne. Leczenie to jest dla mnie du\u017cym wyzwaniem, jednak traktuj\u0119 je jako kolejn\u0105 szans\u0119 na zatrzymanie post\u0119pu choroby i popraw\u0119 jako\u015bci \u017cycia. Ka\u017cdy dzie\u0144 przynosi nowe trudno\u015bci, ale r\u00f3wnie\u017c mobilizuje mnie do dalszej walki.

Pomimo wszystkich przeciwno\u015bci staram si\u0119 zachowa\u0107 si\u0142\u0119, wiar\u0119 i mo\u017cliwie pozytywne nastawienie. Ogromne znaczenie ma dla mnie wsparcie, kt\u00f3re otrzymuj\u0119 i za kt\u00f3re jestem bardzo wdzi\u0119czna.
