We are a family that can fight the most difficult diagnoses. In September 2024, my beloved husband, Rysiu, was diagnosed Malignant tumors in both hemispheres of the brain \u2013 grade IV glioma<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This is another cancer that has affected my loved ones.<\/strong> Our son Karolek nearly died three times \u2013 first after birth due to severe sepsis, and then twice due to acute leukemia, which led to a bone marrow transplant. We hoped that after these difficult years we would have peace, but life has once again tried us.<\/p>\n

I can't understand that it's not genetics, but blind, cruel fate that has struck our family again. Despite this, we don't give up - we play the cards that fate has dealt us. We pulled Karol from the jaws of death, we will pull Rysio out too.<\/p>\n

I found a modern, foreign therapy that can change a few months of life into many years. Unfortunately, it is very expensive \u2013 we need about 3 million zlotys<\/strong>. Over the next 2-3 weeks we need to collect 300 thousand zlotys.<\/strong> For us, this is a huge sum, especially since with a disabled child we did not have the possibility to save large funds. We need help quickly, because the tumor is growing every week.<\/p>\n

During our son's illness, my husband took on the burden of supporting the family when I had to give up work. He worked several jobs to provide funds for Karol's treatment and rehabilitation. He always took care of us. I remember the day when I called Rysiu to the hospital because the doctors told us to hurry up so he could say goodbye to his son. Then a miracle happened - Karolek came out of it.<\/p>\n

The treatment of my son was extremely difficult. Rysiu carried him in his arms when he had no strength, and made him laugh in the hardest moments. We were told that Karol would be mentally disabled, that he would become a "vegetable" and would not live to see the age of 11. But Rysiu always remained optimistic and believed that Karolek would do it. This optimism gave me strength in the fight for our child, and now in the fight for my husband.<\/p>\n

Today Karol is 16 years old and has been in remission for 6 years. He has a wonderful relationship with his father, and they both love dark humor. They laugh and say, "It can't get any worse, it can only get funnier." Our daughter Kalinka is still tiny, but for her, her father is the whole world.<\/p>\n

Na razie nie wiadomo, jak d\u0142ugo b\u0119dzie musia\u0142 go nosi\u0107, poniewa\u017c zale\u017cy to od reakcji guza na leczenie, ale przewidujemy minimum 5 miesi\u0119cy.<\/p>\r\n

W tym czasie zostanie pobrany materia\u0142 do opracowania spersonalizowanej szczepionki peptydowej CeGAT. Koszt 20 tys. euro na pobranie materia\u0142u i stworzenie szczepionki, co zajmuje 3-4 miesi\u0105ce, a nast\u0119pnie 60 tys. euro na wdro\u017cenie leczenia szczepionk\u0105.
