It's hard for me to admit that I'm no longer self-sufficient, but I accept this lesson with humility and call out to the world: I need help! Because I really want to live, I really want my 14-year-old daughter to have her mother with her, healthy and joyful. I want to make plans for the future again, watch my teenager become an adult, I want to dance at her wedding, I want to keep my fingers crossed in the stands when she plays a tennis game!<\/strong><\/p>\n

My name is Kasia, I am 56 years old and I have always been an independent turbo rocket. I always did everything myself. I decided to become a mother myself, I raise my daughter alone, I take care of the house and work alone, alone, alone, alone...<\/p>\n

Until the moment came when it turned out that in the face of the disease I could not go further on my own.<\/p>\n

All these dreams and everyday joys came crashing down in April 2023 when I felt a lump in my breast. I was immediately filled with fear, I knew intuitively that it was cancer. And indeed - after the first tests, I received a confirmed diagnosis - breast cancer.<\/p>\n

My child was going through a rollercoaster of emotions, because it was the time just before the eighth-grade exams, stress, tension, anxiety about whether she would get in, and while I was helping her with the preparations, I was clenching my teeth and suppressing tears. Because a typhoon of fear was raging in my head - what's next, will I be able to defeat the monster, and one thought beating rhythmically - I want to live, I WANT TO LIVE!<\/p>\n

Zosia got into her dream high school, thrives among her new friends, dances at the dance school, and is doing like a storm. I absorb this youthful energy and I want it too.<\/p>\n

Immediately after the exams, I sat down opposite my daughter and with my heart in mind, I told her what awaited me, and she, too. Mom has cancer, she is starting chemotherapy, all her hair will fall out and she will sometimes feel very bad, but daughter - mom is fighting!<\/p>\n

And this is the lesson I want to teach myself and Zosia - sometimes it is very difficult, but you must never give up, keep your head up and move forward!<\/p>\n

I am currently undergoing a demanding 5-month chemotherapy and mastectomy. I am waiting for the results of the histopathological examination and I am trying to confirm that the cancer has died and is long gone. But the fight continues and to use all possible weapons, I use supplements and non-reimbursed supportive treatment. I spent most of my savings on them. Since January, my only income has been the rehabilitation benefit.<\/p>\n

It's hard for me to do it, but I decided to ask for financial support for further treatment. Maybe this is also my new lesson in this new school of life - learning to ask for help and accept it with gratitude.<\/p>\n

I know how difficult times we live in - inflation, soaring prices. I also know that if I manage to reach many people, every little donation will save me.<\/p>\n
