The first lesion on my father's liver was detected in 2020 during a colonoscopy for the presence of polyps in the intestines. Initially, the tumor was 13 mm in size and did not develop. In the following months, the lesion was systematically monitored and due to its enlargement, in September 2022, it was decided to implement Folfox intravenous chemotherapy.<\/p>\n
The treatment caused weakness of the body and problems with walking. The first cycle ended in April this year. From May to July, my dad took oral chemotherapy in tablets. Unfortunately, due to the progression of the disease (lung metastases) and the lack of expected treatment effects, chemotherapy was discontinued.<\/p>\n
As conventional treatment options were exhausted, my father began supportive treatment to strengthen the body weakened by intensive treatment. After the first doses, he feels better, his strength returns and he can go for short walks again. We are planning a series of such treatments to restore my father's strength, but this form of treatment is very expensive.<\/p>\n
So far, basic infusions and ISCADOR therapy have cost us approximately PLN 11,000. The next months of therapy will generate costs of several dozen thousand.<\/p>\n
Dad's dream is to stay fit and enjoy life as long as possible. His faith in God, prayers and the support of his family give him strength and willingness to fight the disease.<\/p>\n
