I have <\/span><\/span>20 <\/span><\/span><\/span>years. Despite my young age, I often fought for my health and life.<\/span><\/span> At the age of 14<\/span><\/span><\/span> I heard the diagnosis: <\/span><\/span>"<\/span><\/span><\/span>atypical anorexia<\/span><\/span>" <\/span><\/span><\/span>and from that moment my fight began.<\/span><\/span> \u00a0I was determined and managed to prove, above all, to myself that I would fight for my health until the end. Thanks to the events of that one <\/span><\/span>period <\/span><\/span><\/span>time, I learned to appreciate life even more. Writing poems has become therapy for me. I started putting my thoughts, emotions, feelings, experiences on paper, talking about how I perceive the world, life and people. A lot has changed in my way of thinking since then<\/span><\/span>and<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u2026<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The next defense of my life began in November 2018<\/span><\/span>eye. <\/span><\/span><\/span>Then, during PE lessons, I started feeling the first pain. My parents and I went from doctor to doctor, but most of them said I was healthy. Many thought they were just accompanying me<\/span><\/span> I have neuralgia and it will go away soon. It didn't go away... It hurt more and more each day. I felt pain around my neck, under my shoulder blades, but the worst of all was the feeling as if someone was pulling my arms away. I couldn't sleep, painkillers didn't help.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

My condition worsened after undergoing cardiopulmonary resuscitation at EDB. January 10, 2019<\/span><\/span>eye <\/span><\/span><\/span>I went to the hospital with my parents for the first time. I also had a computed tomography done there, but I had to wait a few days for the report. So the pediatric surgeon just looked at the photo on the computer with his eye and said that everything with my spine was fine.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

On February 7, 2019, I received the diagnosis <\/span><\/span>–<\/span><\/span><\/span> malignant tumor of bones and articular cartilage - bones of the spine with metastases to the bone marrow and pelvic bones, stage IV<\/strong><\/span><\/span>. I remember that one of the words I said to my sister after hearing the diagnosis was: <\/span><\/span>"<\/span><\/span><\/span>Don't cry because it means you're losing hope.<\/span><\/span>".<\/span><\/span><\/span> To a large extent, they prevented this from happening<\/span><\/span>m<\/span><\/span><\/span> She didn't withdraw any of her orders<\/span><\/span> forward step<\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

On February 8, I found myself in the oncology ward in... <\/span><\/span>IP<\/span><\/span><\/span>CZD in Warsaw. The beginnings were difficult mentally and physically. For about two months I couldn't get up due to the compression fractures in my vertebrae that had already occurred and were still threatening me, but that didn't stop me from taking action. After some time, I started wearing the Jewett corset and took the first four steps to the window. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>In oncological treatment, I went through: 6 heavy cycles of chemotherapy, 8 adjuvant cycles, radiotherapy, megachemotherapy<\/span><\/span>therapy<\/span><\/span><\/span> and bone marrow autotransplantation, strengthening treatment, rehabilitation, but also a number of tests. During it, everything went well, despite the expected complications. Writing poems helped me. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>2019 taught me a lot. I don't blame him for what happened in my life and I don't want to forget it. I became even stronger. The pain hardened me. I know how valuable life is and how fragile it is. I don't want to waste it, but to appreciate, love and respect it, to live in harmony with myself and the world.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

On October 19, 2020, I officially finished cancer treatment. However, twice a year<\/span><\/span> 2022<\/span><\/span><\/span> I suspected a recurrence of cancer and episodes of fainting. I had a biopsy performed, which ultimately ruled out recurrence. Doctors reacted very quickly, but at one point they also emphasized that such episodes may occur after aggressive oncological treatment. I struggle with hormonal disorders (thyroid, pituitary). <\/span><\/span>Sometimes I feel stronger tingling in the fingers of my left hand and right foot, which are the result of nerve damage as a result of cancer. I also can't sit in one position for a long time. I feel a tingling sensation in my spine in certain positions, because that was where the main tumor mass was located, which took up almost my entire spine.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>My physical fitness has improved over the last few years (from diagnosis to now). However, after treatment, my skin also became twice as sensitive when it comes to skin care. I can only use natural, selected cosmetics.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

That<\/span><\/span><\/span> W-Z cake<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>considering my medical history, recent disturbing events related to health, uncertainty - I am aware that this type of situations may happen again. Moreover, I don't know how long it will take me to get to the hospital for appointments and check-ups by ambulance, so I will probably have to use my own transport, which will involve travel costs. These costs are also related to visits to specialists, e.g. dentist, gynecologist, cardiologist, endocrinologist. Most often, these are private visits due to the waiting time <\/span><\/span>on<\/span><\/span><\/span> visits<\/span><\/span>\u0119<\/span><\/span><\/span>. Very often something unexpected happens to my health, which is why I care so much about time, about reacting as quickly as possible so that what happened four years ago does not happen again, despite going to many specialists, because Three months passed between the first symptoms appearing and the correct diagnosis. This led to me being in the hospital at the last minute, in the operating theater.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Po zako\u0144czonym leczeniu onkologicznym zmagam si\u0119 z licznymi powik\u0142aniami<\/strong>, m.in. w obr\u0119bie kr\u0119gos\u0142upa, a tak\u017ce z niedoczynno\u015bci\u0105 tarczycy, dn\u0105 moczanow\u0105, t\u0119\u017cyczk\u0105, parestezjami (mrowienia i dr\u0119twienia ko\u0144czyn, cierpni\u0119cia g\u0142owy) oraz r\u00f3\u017cnorodnymi dolegliwo\u015bciami b\u00f3lowymi. Objawy te wymagaj\u0105 cz\u0119stej diagnostyki i wizyt u wielu specjalist\u00f3w, co wi\u0105\u017ce si\u0119 z du\u017cymi kosztami prywatnego leczenia, ale pozwala na szybkie reagowanie. Opr\u00f3cz tego korzystam z regularnego wsparcia specjalist\u00f3w zdrowia psychicznego, poniewa\u017c tak\u017ce w tym obszarze odczuwam konsekwencje przebytego leczenia.<\/p>\r\n

Codzienne funkcjonowanie bywa trudne<\/strong>, bo skutki choroby i terapii daj\u0105 o sobie zna\u0107 w r\u00f3\u017cny spos\u00f3b. Pomimo tego staram si\u0119 i\u015b\u0107 do przodu z podniesion\u0105 g\u0142ow\u0105, czerpi\u0105c si\u0142\u0119 z blisko\u015bci i wsparcia najbli\u017cszych. Dzi\u015b, b\u0119d\u0105c szcz\u0119\u015bliw\u0105 m\u0119\u017catk\u0105, mam dodatkow\u0105 motywacj\u0119, by walczy\u0107 o ka\u017cdy dobry dzie\u0144 \u2013 nawet je\u015bli nieraz nie jest \u0142atwo.<\/p>\r\n
