It started inconspicuously. The lump in my breast alerted me, but I would never have suspected that it would start my long-term fight for my health and life. The doctors' reactions also did not indicate that my situation was that serious.<\/p>\n
However, further diagnostics left me without any illusions - malignant breast cancer<\/strong>, very aggressive, requiring immediate reaction. The first line of defense was chemotherapy, and soon afterwards even more radical steps were taken - I underwent surgery to remove the tumor.<\/p>\n I clung to every option, undergoing both radiotherapy and another surgery. From 2016 to February this year, I underwent hormone therapy. Cancer is a persistent, aggressive and, above all, unwanted parasite. Currently, I am struggling with the consequences of this devastating disease - the metastases have already spread to almost all bones, but the spine is the most affected.<\/p>\n I am fighting for health, long years of life without fear of developing the disease, and participation in the growth of my sons, whom I raise alone. The treatment offered by the National Health Fund will not allow me to fulfill these dreams, and I will do everything to gain as much time as possible with my children. Non-reimbursed treatment gives me this option, but its costs are much higher than I can afford. I cannot work, painkillers that enable me to function at all, at the same time deprive me of the opportunity to fulfill myself in the work I have done so far. Even if I receive a pension, I cannot count on it to pay for the treatment, which costs as much as PLN 8-10,000 per month!<\/p>\n This is a challenge I cannot face alone. I dream of enjoying the presence of my sons for as long as possible, but the price of this time remains unattainable for me. There are still many things I want to tell them and many moments in which I want to participate.
