In December 2020, just before Christmas, I was accidentally diagnosed kidney cancer<\/strong>. The tumor was large, 10 cm in diameter, so the entire right kidney had to be removed. The surgery took place 5 days after the diagnosis, and I spent a month recovering while participating in online classes and passing exams. I returned to full-time studies because I am in the last year of my medical and dental studies. Due to my health condition, I had to move out of the dormitory because I needed a guardian, and only students of a given university can stay in dormitories.<\/p>\n Unfortunately, in the follow-up examination after the first surgery CT scan detected a lesion in the adrenal gland<\/strong> and again I had to look for a date and a hospital where another surgery would be performed, which was not so easy during the pandemic. The adrenal gland was removed at the beginning of February 2021, which involved another long period of convalescence and absence from classes. I thought this would be the end of my fight against cancer.<\/p>\n After a month and subsequent check-ups; PET, CT, \u2013 appeared lung metastases<\/strong>which are not surgical, therefore systemic treatment is necessary. I was forced to pay for expensive genetic tests in Germany from my own funds, which cost about PLN 6,000. euro. I was diagnosed with it during these tests a rare genetic mutation of the TFE3 gene<\/strong>. Poniewa\u017c zapalenie rdzenia w takim zaawansowaniu jest powa\u017cnym powik\u0142aniem jeden z lek\u00f3w onkologicznych musia\u0142 zosta\u0107 odstawiony. Podano mi immunoglobuliny i sterydy dzi\u0119ki czemu powoli zacz\u0119\u0142am odzyskiwa\u0107 funkcje w nogach.<\/p>\r\n 15.04.2022 zosta\u0142am wypisana ze szpitala, od tamtego czasu intensywnie rehabilituje si\u0119 codziennie, aby jak najszybciej uzyska\u0107 sprawno\u015b\u0107. S\u0105 to ci\u0105g\u0142e sta\u0142e koszty, a rehabilitacja jest procesem d\u0142ugotrwa\u0142ym.<\/p>\r\n 13.06.2022 po dw\u00f3ch miesi\u0105cach fizjoterapii zaczynam powoli stawa\u0107 na nogi, chodz\u0119 o kulach, jednak pobyt w szpitalu i pora\u017cenie dwuko\u0144czynowe spowodowa\u0142o du\u017ce zaniki mi\u0119\u015bniowe, dlatego przy d\u0142u\u017cszej aktywno\u015bci szybko si\u0119 m\u0119cz\u0119, nadal korzystam z w\u00f3zka inwalidzkiego. Brakuje mi kontroli w stawach skokowych (kostce), czucia powierzchniowego w lewej nodze i g\u0142\u0119bokiego w prawej. Na dzie\u0144 dzisiejszy nie mog\u0119 pracowa\u0107, prowadzi\u0107 samochodu, nie jestem w stanie wchodzi\u0107 po schodach. Ca\u0142y czas intensywnie kontynuuje rehabilitacj\u0119 i s\u0105 szanse na ca\u0142kowite odzyskanie sprawno\u015bci, jednak jest to d\u0142ugotrwa\u0142y proces i nie da si\u0119 oszacowa\u0107 ile potrwa.<\/p> 18.05.2021 dosta\u0142am pierwsz\u0105 dawk\u0119 leczenia - immunoterapii! Na ca\u0142e szcz\u0119\u015bcie dzi\u0119ki producentowi lek\u00f3w terapia jest ca\u0142kowicie refundowana, poniewa\u017c bior\u0119 udzia\u0142 w badaniu skuteczno\u015bci leku. Przede mn\u0105 jeszcze radioterapia i dalsza walka o powr\u00f3t do wcze\u015bniejszej sprawno\u015bci. Dzi\u0119kuj\u0119 wszystkim ze szczerego serca!<\/p> W badaniu z 6.05.21 wykryto u mnie skrzeplin\u0119 w \u017cyle g\u0142\u00f3wnej dolnej i kolejne przerzuty. Przerzuty niestety znajduj\u0105 si\u0119 w kanale kr\u0119gowym i uciskaj\u0105 mi na rdze\u0144 powoduj\u0105c dolegliwo\u015bci b\u00f3lowe, a je\u015bli urosn\u0105 mog\u0105 doprowadzi\u0107 nawet do pora\u017cenia po\u0142owiczego. Z tego powodu planowane jest w\u0142\u0105czenie radioterapii.<\/p>
